We believe that good food deserves good care, and by giving your Femino Bees Wrap some TLC, it will be at your disposal in your kitchen, for years on end.
Cleaning your wraps is quick and easy. Simply rinse, scrub, dry, and repeat - and they will last forever. Here are the details:
#1 Rinse
Rinse your Beeswax wrap in cool to lukewarm water. Be sure to test the water with your finger to ensure it's not too hot. To prevent the wax from melting, keep your wrap away from other heat sources such as stoves and microwaves. Also, microwaving may make your kitchen smell wonderful, but it will ruin your wrap. So, avoid it.
#2 Scrub
If you have sticky food bits or tough crumbs to deal with, gently scrub your Bee's Wrap to remove the unwanted residue. Use your hand or a scrubby with a dab of mild dish soap, being careful not to be too hard – just a little pressure will do the trick.
#3 Dry
The beeswax wraps must be air dried after washing. Drape your Femino Beeswax Wrap over a drying rack or where there is space (fastened to a clothesline; over the blender works too!). Just make sure to keep it away from the heat.
#4 Store
Keep your Bee's Wrap folded and put away in a drawer. You could also keep it in your kitchen basket, a repurposed bread box, or whatever is most convenient for you. Remember to keep your wrap away from heat - which includes leaving it in a heated car on a hot day.
Your Beeswax Wrap may get soiled, frayed, or rumpled after months of service in your kitchen, but we consider these indications of wear to be proof of a job well done. You can relax knowing that every time you use our Beeswax Wraps, you're avoiding single-use plastics in favour of a natural, reusable, and eventually biodegradable alternative.
Taking care of your beeswax wraps in this manner will allow you to reuse them for up to two years — and you may utilise beeswax wraps in a variety of ways.
